I'll Fight Hell to Hold You

Frantic Phone Call(Paul's P.O.V.)

I had just gotten the girls into their highchairs and was about to start feeding them when my cell phone went off. I immediately picked it up seeing Tommy's number. "Baby?" 

"P=P-Paul, h-h-he was at t-the doctor's office. H-h-he has a son that looks like Hannah!" "Calm down baby. It's going to be okay. Come home and we'll talk about it."

I could hear Tommy sniffling in the background and trying to keep it together. "I-I-I'm on my way. I'll be there shortly."

Just as soon as he hung up, I heard the front door open and Tommy launched himself into  my arms. "Paul!" 

Rubbing Tommy's back, I got him to calm down and relax a bit. "Sit down and I'll bring you something to drink. " 

I gave Tommy a glass of white wine even though he was pregnant. "One glass baby. That should be enough to calm you down." 

Tommy sipped it slowly as he helped me feed the girls. Taylor absolutely hated baby food, spitting it right in my eye. Aurora made a face but ate her peas and Hannah smiled as she ate hers. "Well, Miss Taylor doesn't like peas." I laughed. I wiped peas out of my eye and offered her carrots. She screamed and refused to open her mouth.

Tommy gently slid the spoon in and got her to eat both peas and carrots. "I'll be damned." I muttered.

After the girls started nodding off, I cleaned their faces and hands as Tommy laid them in their cribs. I waited until he came back and pulled him into a hug. "Come here baby. I'm sorry about what happened."

Tommy laid on my shoulder and closed his eyes. I could hear him breathing deeper soon so I laid him down on the couch.
