After Paul got over the shock of a fifth child coming, he began to have lots of fear. What if he lost his husband and unborn baby? What if he had to raise four girls on his own? Shaking his head to clear the ugly thoughts, Paul looked in on Tommy who was now sleeping.
Sitting on the bed next to Tommy, Paul reached over and rubbed his stomach. He slid down until he was able to wrap his arm around Tommy's stomach so he could see if he could feel the baby. Of course it was early, too early to feel movement.
Making circles on Tommy's stomach, Paul finally rested his hand on Tommy's upper leg. He had so many worries and doubts but he also knew he and tommy would get through them together.
"I love you, baby." said Paul as he got up to head to the kitchen. He felt like making cookies for everyone.
