The two older triplets had been ready to go shopping for "Unca" Gene. They finally got Paul to agree so Tommy decided to go along to help. He offered to take Aurora and Mady to the pet store.
Pulling Tommy to the kitchen, Paul pushed him in to the wall. "Are you okay? You've been off since Eric came by. What's wrong, sweetheart?"
"I'm fine. I just have no idea what Gene would want so I'd rather not try." Tommy let out a big sigh. "Paul, I wanted to take everyone on a vacation that week. If we're at Gene's party, we will be late getting started." "I will just change the plans if I need too." He tried walking away but Paul caught his arm.
"Baby, look at me." "We will drop Gene's present off that morning and leave if we need too."
"WE AREN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE COUNTRY THAT WEEK!" cried Tommy. "I made plans to be in Germany." He burst into tears. Walking away, he ran upstairs. Paul was left in shock in the kitchen. He followed Tommy upstairs and found him in their bedroom crying. "Baby, look at me. We will go to Germany. I will let Eric know and maybe he can change the party plans."
Tommy shook his head as he buried his face in the pillow. "No. I'll change our plans. I don't want to let Eric or the kids down. My plans are tentative so I can change them."
They talked about their plans for awhile. Tommy agreed to go shopping so they got the kids ready.
