When Paul and Tommy arrived at the park, they had 8 kids, a picnic basket/blankets, swim suits under their clothes, extra clothes and towels and swim toys. Paul had on his swim trunks so he got in the water first. He had Tommy undress each child and help them in the water. Delilah and Taylor jumped in, Hannah took Jenny's hand as they went down the stairs, Jason went with Aurora next. Mady was afraid of the water so Draco stayed with her on the grass. Tommy offered to hold her when he got in. Draco held her hand.
Soon Paul was pulling three double floats along as Tommy stayed with Mady in the kiddie pool. Draco played in the shallow end near them.
Two hours later, the kids were hungry so Paul helped them out. After laying the toys near the blanket, he had the kids sit down to eat. They were happily eating and playing when a larger boy came over and snatched Draco's sandwich. He ran off with it. Draco started crying and crawled in Tommy's lap. Paul handed him another sandwich and got up.
"Paul, no." said Tommy. "Dra, it's okay. Just finish your sandwich."
Delilah had marched over to the boy, smacked him and took the sandwich back. "Dat my brudder's! You bully!" She kicked him and walked off.
Soon Paul was confronted by an angry man. "Your brat kicked my child!"
"Your son stole my nephew's sandwich. Now please let us finish eating in peace." "His sister was defending him."
Delilah stood up again, walked over to the man and bit his kneecaps. He let out a scream and went to hit her. To Paul's surprise, Tommy stood up and drew back his fist. "You were asked to leave us alone. You will not hit a child! Now go back to your family and leave ours alone!"
Delilah stood defiantly with her hands on her hips. "You leave!" "Go!"
The other 7 sat there, Aurora and Mady being signed to by Hannah. She hugged Tommy who was shaking. "I almost hit him." he whispered. "I'm so sorry."
"You were just defending the children. It's okay, sweetheart." whispered Paul.
The rest of the day went smoother. Paul texted Gene later to check on him and Eric and to tell them about Delilah. He could hear Eric laughing. "That's my daughter."
The kids played happily until around three when they asked to go home. Paul rinsed them off and loaded them into the car. Tommy wrestled with the picnic stuff until he got it all in the trunk.
