Uncomfortable Ride Home

As soon as Paul started the car, he heard Tommy say from the back seat, "Paul? I'm gonna be sick!"

Paul stopped so Tommy could get out. It took him several minutes before he was able to help Tommy back in again. "Lie down and rest. We'll be home soon."

Tommy dozed off again but then his stomach started cramping. He continued to cramp all the way home. 

Just as Paul pulled into the driveway, Tommy let out a loud scream and grabbed his stomach. Before he could even get in the house, he passed a large blood clot and passed out. He was soaked in blood from his waist down and continuously bleeding. 

Paul passed out just as Gene and Eric drove up. They had come over to drop off the girls. Gene had Eric shield them from the blood while he called for an ambulance. 

"Mama!" cried Taylor. "Dada!"

She and Hannah started crying as the ambulance took Tommy. Paul sat up with Gene's help and took the girls. 

"Sh, momma's going to be okay." soothed Eric. 

Paul ran in to grab a bag of things for Tommy and himself. Gene packed for the girls and took them back to his house. He knew that tommy had just had a miscarriage but what he didn't know was that the baby wasn't Paul's. he didn't find out until he was talking to Eric later.
