Paul had asked Bruce to watch the triplets while he took Tommy on a real date. He explained what had happened and added that he really messed up and needed to make amends.
"I don't mind but please be sincere. If you say something, please make sure it's the truth and not just fluff filled. Yes, both of you were wrong but don't punish Tommy because you did the same thing."
Paul didn't disagree. He called Tommy and asked if he'd mind getting a diaper bag ready for the triplets. "I'm taking you out. Do you mind having them ready?" "I have something really special in mind so could you be ready at six?"
"Yes." "I love you."
"I love you too."

Paul led Tommy to the restaurant lobby. "I know we're both apprehensive right now, but I want to make up to you." If this doesn't work then I'll keep trying."
"Paul, you don't have to. I already forgave you."
"I haven't forgiven myself."
After they were seated, Paul took Tommy's hand in his. "I should have told you about the affair. " "When I told you I hadn't cheated, I lied. I'm sorry."
Tommy nodded and took a sip of water. "Paul, I don't deserve you. I think we both screwed up but I'm willing to start over if you are."
"Let's just take this one day at a time."
They both agreed and actually enjoyed dinner.
