Tommy woke up the next morning not remembering where he was. He almost had a panic attack before realizing he was in the hospital. Sitting up, he noticed the box near his pillow. Pulling it into his lap, he opened it. Tears filled his eyes and soon spilled over.
Inside was a silver band inlaid with six stones. The first was a sapphire, second a beautiful yellow topaz, another sapphire, a ruby(Madyson), the third sapphire and a garnet. They represented Taylor, Tommy, Aurora, Madyson, Hannah and Paul. Tommy stared at it for a long time before slipping it on his right ring finger.
Around nine Paul came in with breakfast. He saw the ring on Tommy's finger and smiled. "I hoped you'd like it." "I'm so sorry sweetheart."
"Paul, did you do it to get back at me or did you cheat because you don't love me anymore?"
"I did it because I was hurt. I can never fall out of love with you. You are too good to me." "I meant it when I said I'd never leave you."
Tommy nodded so he wouldn't cry again. He opened the bag and pulled out a hash brown. Eating it quickly, he looked for another one. "At this rate, I'm gonna gain back weight fast."
Paul rubbed Tommy's stomach. "You need to be rounder." "I like you lean but not gaunt." "You worry me when you're too thin."
Tommy nodded and ate another hash brown. He rubbed his stomach as he finished the last bite.
Paul laid next to him and put his hand on Tommy's stomach. Leaning over, he whispered something in his ear. Soon his hand was on Tommy's thighs. "Do you want me to quit?"
"No. Just don't get us caught."
Paul made his husband feel better while keeping the covers up. Paul sat up with a gleam in his eye and kissed Tommy's cheek. "When you get home, we don't have to stay covered."
Tommy nodded as he leaned on Paul's shoulder. "I don't want to ever lose you either."
They sat in Tommy's hospital bed and held hands, watching t.v.
