After leaving the restaurant, Paul stopped to pick up Tommy's medication. He hoped the stronger dosage would help. Handing it to Tommy, he kissed his cheek and led him inside. "Go on and take a hot shower and relax in bed. I'll be right up."
"You can take one first." said Tommy.
Paul suggested they both take one together because he knew something was bothering his mate. "Tom, we're both ready for bed. Let's just cuddle." He waited until Tommy had taken the pill.
Tommy immediately felt dizzy. He closed his eyes and scooted next to Paul. He told Paul how he felt. "I'll hold you, okay? Just try to relax."
The pill worked fast, causing Tommy to try to focus on staying awake. He finally gave in to sleep. Paul had just dozed off when Tommy started thrashing. Jumping up, Paul turned on the light. Tommy was sweating and very pale. It scared Paul to the point where he had to call 911.
The EMT's gave him a sedative and told Paul to call the doctor as soon as the office opened. He slept lightly until around one a.m. At that point, Tommy was deeply asleep.
The next morning Tommy, even though he was still groggy, stumbled to the bathroom around seven. He threw up everything in his stomach and laid down on the floor. Paul managed to get him back into bed.
While Tommy slept deeply but restlessly, Paul managed to get his medication changed and cook breakfast. He had just finished when Taylor called him. "Da! Up!" "Mama up!"
Paul carried breakfast to Tommy who was sitting up in bed, looking dazed. Explaining what had happened, Paul told him he'd feed the girls and be back. When he came back, Tommy hadn't moved. Paul fed him like a child. When Tommy was done, Paul cleaned him up and had him go back to bed.
"I'm going to get him into another doctor." sighed Paul.
He managed to get Tommy into his own doctor the next day.
Tommy slept the rest of the day.
