It felt like you had been flying forever, your extremities were numb, and you were convinced if you tried to move even a little bit, you'd fall off Mina's back and that would be it. Regardless, you clung on and chanced another glance over her scaly shoulder.

This island really was a frozen wasteland. Save for a few clusters of trees here and there, there was nothing for miles around other than the crop of mountains you were heading for; according to the commander this was the location of the old ice kingdom castle. The closer you got, the clearer the individual peaks of each ridge became, and there, nestled neatly in the middle was the castle. The old white turrets and spires blended in well with the snowcapped peaks of the mountains surrounding it, only adding to its camouflage. If you were to approach by foot, you would never have known it was even there.

You looked over at the boys and Bakugo nodded, the two of you told the dragons to find somewhere to land. But it was difficult. The base of the castle was precariously close to the edge of a deep ravine. The steep mountainsides provided no sure footholds and the deep chasms on either side seemed to descend directly into hell itself. If there wasn't a thin bridge of ice connecting the entrance of the ruins to an area of earth flat enough for the two dragons to land, the castle would be completely inaccessible from the ground.

Once everyone was back on their own two feet and the dragons once again in human form, you began making your way carefully over the narrow arch of ice towards the broken front gate of the old, abandoned kingdom.

"Is it just me or is it a little too quiet?" You said suspiciously as you scanned the grounds surrounding the entrance. The others murmured their agreement.

"I would have expected at least a couple of guards, or an enchanted barrier of some kind." Ochako confirmed.

"You don't think they've all gone to the mainland to fight, do you?" Midoriya asked.

"No. There'd be no sense taking a hostage to a battlefield where the other side has a better chance of re-taking her by force. My mother is here somewhere, I know it." Shoto said, looking up at the crumbling home of his ancestors.

"But where are the guards?" Momo asked.

"Behind you." Whispered a familiar voice in your ear.

You gasped. Bakugo was a little way in front of you, scouting ahead, but his deep voice echoed in your ear from behind.

"You!" You shouted as rage filled your heart. Finally, you were going to get revenge for Katsuki.

You spun around, drawing your sword as you did, to face the shapeshifter. You expected your weapon to connect with the steel of the shapeshifter's sword, but she avoided your counterattack altogether and vaulted over your head leaping on the real Bakugo instead. He hadn't reacted fast enough and the two of them tumbled to the floor before he was able to pull away and draw his own sword. But this time you smiled.

"That trick won't work on me witch!"

You focused your mana sight on the two Bakugo's, and could clearly see your Katsuki bathed in a bright orange light while the shapeshifting witch, Toga, was shrouded in a dark red. You ran at her and began fending her off your man.

"Katsuki! Leave her to me! I owe this witch a blade to the heart!" You shouted as you lunged and forced the fake Bakugo backwards into the thick snow.

Dabi watched as you battled Toga, he'd left Twice to create copies of himself, and the duplicates began crossing the narrow bridge to swarm your comrades.

He had to admire your prowess, he watched your agile figure as you spun and twisted in midair, dodging each swing of Toga's sword with such grace and finesse. The determined look on your face was quite dark for someone supposedly on the side of good... He smirked.
