We all remember the bedtime stories of our childhoods. The shoe fits Cinderella, the frog turns into a prince, and Sleeping Beauty is awakened with a kiss. Once upon a time, and then they lived happily ever after.

Fairy tales, the stuff of dreams.

The problem is, fairy tales don't come true. It's the other stories, the ones that begin with dark and stormy nights and end in the unspeakable. It's the nightmares that always seem to become reality.

The person who invented the phrase "Happily ever after" should have his ass kicked, so hard.

At Seattle Grace Hospital, all of the residents and attendings huddled around a computer. Miranda Bailey sat in the chair, while everyone awaited the results of the rankings of the teaching hospitals around the country.

Derek Shepherd stood as close as he could to Bailey, making her tell him. "Back up, you're sucking all my oxygen."

"I'm trying to see."

"It's supposed to be up at 4," Erica Hahn added with a shake of her head. "It's 4."

Mark Sloan glanced down at his watch, nodding as he read the time aloud. "It's 4:15."

"Hit the refresh button, you have to reload the page," Cristina Yang suggested, reaching her hand forward to assist, but Bailey instantly swatted her hand away, making the resident exclaim. "Hey! I'm trying to help!"

With narrowed eyes, Bailey insisted. "I am hitting the button every ten seconds."

"Well," Meredith Grey leaned forward next and questioned. "Is it up yet?"

"No."

Everyone was impatient, eager to see the results, but everyone was also anxious to see what their ranking would be. All of them hoped it would remain high; that way, they'd get more trauma cases directed to them.

Alex Karev tapped his foot as he leaned forward over Bailey's shoulder and asked. "Is it up now?"

"No," Bailey answered again, growing tired of being asked the same question over and over again. "Wait—"

"I think we're gonna move up a spot," Mark spoke up with a smile, nodding his head as he continued. "Pass Hopkins, move up to number one."

"We are not passing Hopkins," Derek responded with a knowing look. "We'll stay number two."
