The night before their shift at the hospital, Mallory Shepherd and Alex Karev had Callie Torres, Arizona Robbins, and Lexie Grey over to their apartment. Everyone had drinks in their hands as they sat at the kitchen table, except for Mallory and Arizona, who was maintaining sobriety for the night as an apology for not being able to stay quiet.

Over the course of the past couple of days, the reality of becoming parents was starting to hit the still newly engaged couple. Who, until then, hadn't thought too heavily about the fact that they would eventually be bringing a new life into the world. And then there was the fact that they would have to tell their friends and family.

At the apartment, Alex brought more snacks from the kitchen, which Lexie happily started munching on. He chuckled as he remarked. "I figured you'd want more of those. I've never seen anyone stress eat quite like you, Grey."

"It's your fault that I'm stress eating," Lexie was quick to reply before she turned to Mallory next. "And yours."

"Hey, that's the whole reason I brought you snacks from the kitchen," Alex added with a shrug. "I could've made you raid our fridge like I normally do."

"Guys, I need you to tell Mark," Lexie blurted through a mouthful of chips. "The fact that you haven't told him is starting to drive me crazy. And the fact that it's only a matter of time before he realizes that something is wrong."

Mallory rolled her eyes dramatically as she retorted. "Please, you give the man too much credit."

"No, you don't give him enough credit," Lexie insisted, not willing to let it go. "He knows you better than you know yourself. You're the one who told me that."

"No, I didn't—"

"And now you're trying to gaslight me," Lexie declared with a shake of her head. "I will not let you do that—"

Alex started to laugh, knowing that his fiancée and her friend could go back and forth for ages. "Lexie's right, and you know it, Mal. Sloan's always been the first to know when something's wrong. I give it a few days before he notices."

"Come on, you have to give George and Louis credit where it's due," Callie added with a shrug of her shoulders. "It's only a matter of time before they start their investigation."

"I'm gonna have those two driving me crazy, too?" Lexie groaned loudly in response. "Mallory, you're gonna make me fat, and it's not even my own stress that's eating me alive, it's yours."
