Jacob was lying on top of Connie on the couch with his shirt off kissing her senseless.
Her hands moved to his belt but they instantly seperated when they heard the front door start to open.
Connie picked up Jacob's shirt and handed it to him quickly then kissed his lips, "back door" she said in a whisper.
Jacob nodded then ran out into the kitchen just before Sam walked into the room.

"How was work?" he asked as he pulled a slightly flustered Connie to him.
"The usual, you?" Connie asked.
"Busy, I could do with a beer" Sam said. He went to go to the kitchen but Connie stopped him, "I'll go" she said.
She walked into the kitchen to find Jacob still by the door, "it's locked, I can't find the key" he said quietly.
Connie grabbed his arm then dragged him to the bottom of the stairs, "second door on the right, be quiet" she said before kissing him one last time and rushing into the kitchen to find Sam again.
"Why are there two glasses and a bottle of wine?" Sam asked her.
"Jac!" She said without thinking.
"What?" Sam asked.
"Jac came round before, I had some wine ready but it turns out she's pregnant so neither of us drank any" Connie lied.
"Oh right, I best congratulate her" Sam said before taking a beer from the fridge.

Sam walked back into the living room with his beer leaving Connie in the kitchen.
She instantly took her phone out and sent a text to Jac:
'Sam thinks you're pregnant, just go along with it and I'll explain later"
Connie's phone beeped a minute or so later, 'you better, one kid is enough thank you very much'
Then there was another beep, 'What am I supposed to do now? Xx" from Jacob.
'I'll try to find the key xx" Connie texted back.
She wandered into the living room where Sam was switching on the TV.
"Do you know where the back door key is? I need to put the bins out" Connie said to him.
"Don't worry babe I put them out this morning, come here" Sam said.
"I'll just go and get changed" Connie said with a smile.

Connie ran upstairs then into the guest bedroom where Jacob was, now wearing a shirt.
"Any luck?" Jacob asked her.
"I can't find it, I asked Sam where it was to take the bins out but he's already done it so didn't need to tell me" Connie replied.
"Then how do I get out? I can't exactly wonder downstairs can I? Oh hey Sam I've just been hiding up in your guest room because I'm sleeping with your girlfriend" Jacob said.
"Don't come round in future then" Connie hissed at him.
"Maybe I won't, maybe I'll just go down there and tell him the truth then leave" Jacob said angrily.
"Do it" Connie said.
"What?" Jacob asked.
"I mean it Jacob, do it. Go down there and tell him" Connie snapped.
"Fine" Jacob said then he walked out of the room and onto the landing.

He walked down the stairs followed by Connie who wasn't objecting at all.
He coughed slightly alerting Sam who was still sat on the couch.
"Jacob, what are you doing here? How did you get in?" Sam asked him.
"There was a leak in the bathroom, he was fixing it" Connie said quickly, after clearing changing her mind.
"I wasn't aware that nurses were also qualified plumbers but thanks, fancy a beer?" Sam asked him.
"No thanks, I better be going" Jacob said before glaring at Connie.

Jacob turned to leave and Connie sighed, "I'm sleeping with Jacob" she blurted out.
Jacob turned around to look at Connie whilst Sam was staring at them both.
"Don't be stupid Connie" Sam said.
"I'm not being stupid Sam. I'm sleeping with Jacob" she said again before taking Jacob's hand in hers.
"How long?" Sam asked her.
"Three months, when you went to New York" Connie told him.
"I leave for two weeks and you've already moved on, that's cold Connie" Sam spat.
"I didn't mean to hurt you" Connie tried to reassure him.
"I don't care about that, I just need to know, is the baby mine or Jacob's?" Sam asked her.

"Baby?" Jacob asked her with wide eyes.
"Looks like she didn't tell you either, I found the scan photo this morning. Who's is it Connie? How many weeks are you?" Sam said.
"12 weeks, when you were in New York, it's Jacob's" Connie said without looking at either of them.
"Very well, at least now I won't have another child that I have to tell why his or her mum and dad aren't together, because she slept with someone else. I need some space, I'll collect the rest of my stuff later, I hadn't completly moved in here anyway" Sam said.
"I'm sorry" Connie said.
"I'm not, it's better this way" Sam said before walking out of the room then out of the front door which he slammed behind him.

Connie moved away from Jacob and looked down to the floor but he moved closer again and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"How long have you known?" he asked her softly.
"Two weeks, I wanted to tell you but I needed to know how many weeks I was first, to be sure it was yours. Then I was just to scared, I thought you wouldn't want the baby. I'm sorry" Connie admitted.
Jacob wrapped his arms around her waist, "I love you Connie, I want this baby, to be a dad to him or her, I want you" he whispered.
"I love you too Jacob" Connie replied before turning around in his arms and placing a gentle kiss to her lips.
"Fancy finishing what we started earlier?" he asked her with a raised eyebrow.
"Always" Connie said then he picked her up in his arms and attached his lips to hers.
