Connie lay curled up in bed with Jacob when Mason ran into their bedroom.
"Mama! Dada!" He giggled as he pulled himself up on the bed.
"Morning baby" Connie smiled.
Mason began jumping up and down at the foot of the bed, but suddenly decided to launch himself towards Connie.
"No Mason!" she shouted and rolled to the other side of the bed leaving Jacob and Mason confused, she never usually minded him jumping on her.
"Babe?" Jacob said.
"Sorry" she said quietly.
He stroked her cheek gently, "what's wrong?" he asked.
She looked down then took his hand in hers, slipping it under the bed cover and placing it on her stomach.

Jacob's eyes went wide, "so that's why you didn't want him jumping on you?" he asked, a grin forming on his face.
Connie smiled and nodded, both of them receiving a perculiar look from Mason.
He tilted his head, "why can't I jump?" he asked.
Jacob raised an eyebrow at Connie, indicating that he wanted to know if he could he could tell Mason but she shook her head.
"Only seven weeks" she whispered in his ear.
"Why?" Mason asked again.
"Because I said so" Connie told him.

"Not an answer, why?" he said.
"It is an answer" Connie laughed.
"Not. Why?" Mason asked again.
"Mason, mummy said no" Jacob said.
"But whyyyy?" he groaned.
"Because she said so" he laughed.
"But why did she say so?" Mason asked.
"Because I did" Connie told him.
"Whyyyyy?" he wined.
"I give up, Mason sit down baby" she said with a small chuckle.
"Why?" he asked.
"So I can tell you why I told you not to jump" she replied.
He sat down and crossed his legs, "so why?" he asked quickly.

Connie took Jacob's hand in hers then he smiled reassuringly.
"Because you are going to be a big brother. Your little brother or sister is in my tummy and I didn't want you to land on it" she told him.
"Ooh cool!" Mason grinned.
"You're happy about that?" Jacob asked.
"Yeah! I'm going to be a big bother!" He clapped.
"How's the baby in there?" he added a few seconds later.
Connie's eyes widened and she looked at Jacob.
"How?" Mason asked again.
"You're full of questions aren't you matey?" Jacob laughed.
"Dada. How?" he said.
"We should get up for work" Connie said as she got out of bed, changing the subject.
"Tell me how" he groaned.
"We wrote a letter and asked for one" Jacob told him.
"To who?" Mason asked earning a groan from both Connie and Jacob.
"Who? Who? Who?" He carried on asking as he followed them out of their room.
