Rita had gathered all of the women of the ED into the staff room.
"Right I'm on a mission! I found this in the on call room this morning, and I want to know who it belongs to, it's only right that it's returned to the owner" Rita said whilst holding up a tiny pink g-string on the end of her pen.
Many of the women started looking at each other and laughing.
"Robyn, Melissa, Louise and Colette you can go since you weren't on shift at the time, so now which of you lovely ladies isn't wearing any underwear today?" Rita said.
"Lily, how about you?" She asked earning a glare from Lily, "seriously, do I look like that's my kind of thing? Ethan's not even in today" she pointed out.
"Alright you can go too, Zoe?" Rita said.
"Come on Rita you know I'm single!" Zoe pointed out.
"Will someone just bloody well own up?" Rita shouted just as Connie walked into the staff room.
"Zoe you're needed in..." She said before stopping.
"Needed where? Zoe asked.
"I, err, resus, please" she stuttered.
"Mrs Beauchamp are you ok?" Robyn asked as she had decided to stick around and watch the show.
"I'm fine thank you" Connie said after she cleared her throat just as Jacob walked in.
"Hey what's going on?" He asked only for his eyes to go wide and he stopped next to Connie.
"I'm trying to find out who this belongs to. I refuse to give up" Rita said.
"Oh right, good luck" he said.
Rita put her empty hand on her hip, "what's that supposed to mean? Do you know something?" she asked.
"I meant it sincerely Rita but yeah you got me, I enjoy wearing g-strings to work" Jacob replied.
Rita scowled at him whilst Connie tried to hide her smirk, "come on we've got work to do, just own up. It's nothing to be embarrassed about, we all have sex. I'd just rather my nurses wore underwear, it's protocol" she said.
Connie took a deep breath, "who said anything about it being a nurse?" she asked.
"Well I've cleared Zoe and Lily which rules out the doctors then Melissa rules out the HCA's so it must be, unless it's, no way..." Rita said as she trailed off whilst looking at a smirking Connie.
"If you don't mind I'll have my underwear back thank you very much Nurse Freeman" Connie said before taking the g-string off the pen.
"It's yours?" Zoe asked in shock.
"No I just decided to pick up another woman's g-string for fun" Connie replied sarcastically.
"Woah Mrs B getting all the action, who's the lucky man?" Robyn asked.
"Put this in your bag please, I'm not carrying it back to my office" she said to Jacob as she handed it to him whilst ignoring Robyn's comment.
"Sure thing sexy" Jacob said as he opened his locker.
Connie smirked then slapped his arse, "Mrs Beauchamp" she corrected him.
"No way! Jacob and Mrs B!" Robyn shouted.
"Oh I can assure you that it's very much 'yes way' Nurse Miller, now please if you could all get back to work, we have a lot of patients to treat" Connie said.
"We need a catch up later" Zoe said with a smirk as she walked past Connie.
"And I need to wash my pen, and the on call room" Rita said whilst also smirking at them.
Jacob pulled Connie into his arms as everyone was leaving, "enjoy slapping my arse sweetcheeks?" he asked.
"Maybe" she replied before leaning up and kissing him gently.
