"Do you Jacob Masters take Melissa Roberts to you be your lawfully wedded wife?" The registrar asked.
Jacob looked over at the crowd gathered in the church, mainly at Connie.
She was sat with Sam and Grace, the only reason they couldn't be together.
They were madly in love with each other, slept together numerous times.
Everytime they had promised it would be the last, but it never was. Even the night before the wedding.
Connie was pregnant, a child Sam was convinced was his and Connie somehow had managed to convince herself too.
Grace was the reason Connie and Sam were still together, Connie couldn't bring herself to end it because she couldn't bear to hurt Grace.
"I do" Jacob responded, faking a smile at Melissa.
"Do you Melissa Roberts take the Jacob Masters to be your lawfully wedded husband?" the registrar asked.
Melissa's face suddenly became one of anger, "no I don't! Because I don't want to marry a man who doesn't love me! He's so in love with his boss that he spends the night before our wedding in bed with her even though she's pregnant with her own fiancées baby" she shouted.
Everyone gasped and turned to look at Connie. Sam put his arm around her waist and glared at Melissa, not believing a word of it but Connie stood up trying to stop the tears from falling.
Sam stood up next to her, "do you see what you've done?! I don't understand why you're trying to humiliate her but your lies are ridiculous. Let's go home con, come on Grace" he said.
"They aren't lies! She was supposed to be at my hen night but she didn't turn up and now I know why! The same reason Jacob missed the end of his stag night. I went to pick something up from the house this morning and I saw them together in the doorway!" Melissa said.
Sam shook his head, "I've had enough of this, I'm taking you home babe. Stress isn't good for the baby" he said.
"I'm sorry Sam, I can't go home with you. Melissa is telling the truth. I'd convinced myself that it would be ok but it was so stupid of me because I'm in love with him, and I know the baby isn't yours but I thought if I told myself that it was then I wouldn't have to face telling you" Connie said.
Jacob walked down the isle to Connie ignoring all the looks he was getting from the guests.
"You cheated on me?! The baby's not mine?" Sam asked in shock.
"I lied about how many weeks I am, I got pregnant when you went to visit Kieron in New York. Not after you were back" she told him.
"Connie let's take this outside. Grace go to Auntie Zoe please" Sam said as Zoe stood up and approached them.
Grace ran into Zoe's arms and hugged her and jacob wrapped his arm around Connie's waist, "come on, let's go" he said.
"Jacob you can't do this to me! I want an explanation and I want an apology!" Melissa shouted but Jacob ignored her and walked outside the church with Connie and Sam.
"How exactly did you think you were going to get away with this?! You knew the baby was his, as no offence jacob but it would be very difficult not to notice!" Sam shouted.
"I'm sorry! I just couldn't bring myself to tell you because grace was so happy and I didn't want to ruin everything for her" Connie sobbed.
Jacob pulled her into a hug and ran his hand over her bump as she cried into his chest.
"But it was ok to hurt me?! Why the hell did you do it Connie, I thought you loved me!" Sam said angrily.
"I never meant I hurt you but it happened once and I couldn't let go, I love Jacob. I'm sorry" Connie cried.
Sam shook his head at her, "you never change do you? Always the same cold hearted selfish bitch. I'm going to go in there and explain everything to our daughter, on my own. If she wants to see you then I will drop her round later but if I was her I don't see why I'd want too" he spat before turning around and going back into the church.
Jacob held Connie in his arms and kissed her head, "it's ok, I'm here baby" he soothed.
"I love you" she sniffed as she looked up at him.
"I love you too sweetcheeks" he replied before kissing her gently.
Connie smiled and stroked her bump as they began to walk towards his car.
"Our beautiful baby boy" she whispered.
Jacob smiled, "yep, and don't worry because everything will be ok. I promise you" he told her.
"I know" Connie replied with a smile.
