"Am I going to have a little brother or sister?" Grace asked as she stood by Emma's bedside.
She looked between her and Connie who smiled weakly and turned towards the door.
"I don't think so sweetie" Emma replied.
"Oh" Grace said sadly then looked back to Connie.
"I... I need some air" Connie said quickly before walking outside.
"Connie?" Jacob said as he followed her out.
Grace looked at Emma, "what's wrong with her?" she asked.
"Don't take my word for it, but I think I may have been wrong when I said you weren't getting a little brother or sister" Emma replied.
Connie walked outside, sitting down on the bench with her head between her hands.
Jacob sat down next to her and rubbed her back, "sweetcheeks what's wrong?" he asked her.
She looked up at him with a weak smile, "Jacob I'm pregnant" she said quietly.
"Pre...you... Baby... Are we having a baby?!" he stuttered.
"Yes muscles, yes we are having a baby" Connie confirmed.
Without warning Jacob stood up and picked up Connie, spinning her around in the air and kissing her like his life depended on it.
"Well this is a surprise" a voice said from behind them.
Connie pulled away from the kiss and looked over Jacob's shoulder, letting out a sigh, "do you mind? Private moment here" she said.
Sam laughed and rolled his eyes, "and there was me thinking you were supposed to be looking after my girlfriend instead of canoodling with whoever this is" he said.
"This is Jacob Masters, my boyfriend and the father of my child" Connie snapped.
"You have another child? Pull the other one Connie" he laughed before walking inside.
She glared as he walked away then she and Jacob followed hand in hand, back to Emma's room.
Grace sat there twiddling her thumbs until she spotted her mum, "mum? Why did you leave when I asked if I was getting a baby brother or sister?" she asked.
Connie bent down in front of Grace, taking both her hands in hers, "because I wasn't sure how to tell you. I didn't know how you'd react, but Jacob and I, we are going to have a baby" she told her.
Sam errupted into laughter, clutching at his side as he was almost crying.
"Dad stop it!" Grace said as she hugged Connie.
"Oh come on Grace you can't believe this!" He laughed.
"Sam stop it. You weren't here, but me and Grace saw her face, Connie's going to have baby and I don't see why you're laughing" Emma said sternly.
He went quiet at the prospect of his girlfriend sticking up for his ex.
"Do you and Jacob love each other?" Grace asked as she looked between them.
"Yeah firecracker we do" Jacob told her.
"Then I want to move back home. I've loved living with you dad and em, but I want to live with mum, Jacob and my little brother or sister" Grace pleaded.
Sam went to object but Emma shot him a glare and shook her head, "it's what she wants Sam, do it for her" she said.
"Please dad?" Grace asked.
He sighed and nodded, "ok, if you're sure" he said.
"I am" Grace grinned before throwing her arms around both Connie and Jacob.
