"Jacob I need you over here" Cal shouted over.
Jacob made his way over to the cubical he was in, not noting the sympathetic looks he was being given by a few staff members.
"This is Tali, two years old, passenger in an RTC. Minor laceration to her head that needs cleaning" he told him.
Jacob nodded and began to get the equipment together as Cal left.
"Aba" Tali giggled as she pointed to him.
Jacob thought nothing of it and began to clean her cut carefully.
"Aba" she said again and began to tug on his arm.
"Aba? You want daddy?" he asked.
She nodded, "Aba" she said again.Jacob left the cubical and went over to Cal who was walking away from Charlie with a worried look on his face.
"Cal, any idea where Tali's parents are?" he asked.
"Err, no, I'll take care of her now anyway" Cal replied.
"I'm fine with her, she was just asking for her dad that's all" Jacob told him.
"Aba!" Tali said as she tugged at Jacob's pant leg.
He turned and looked at her, "you're supposed to be in there missy, come on" he said as he held a hand out to her.
"Tali! Charlie I just want to see my baby! Where's Tali?!" Jacob heard a voice say, a very familiar voice.Suddenly Tali let go off him and ran off causing Jacob to turn and look to where the voice came from.
"Ima!" She shouted as she ran into Connie's arms.
Connie picked her up and held her close, as Jacob stood looking at her with his jaw practically on the floor.
"Connie you really should still be in bed. You were knocked out" Charlie said as he placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Ima! Saw Aba!" Tali said as she pointed towards Jacob.
"J..Ja..Jacob" Connie stuttered.
"Ima? Aba? I have a child and you never thought to tell me?" he asked in shock.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" she replied."Why Connie? She's my daughter, I had a right to know! Is that why you left?" Jacob said.
"No, no of course not. I was offered a job in Israel and I couldn't refuse. But I couldn't bring myself to tell you, so I left without a word. I only found out a month later that I was pregnant. I wanted to call and tell you but that wasn't something I could do over the phone and I knew I couldn't of came home and told you, you would of hated me for ever leaving" Connie explained.
"Aba!" Tali shouted again as she outstretched her arms for Jacob.
"Can I?" He asked Connie who nodded quickly and handed her over to him.
"So Israel? That's the reason for her name and the slight language barrier?" Jacob said.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a language barrier Jacob. She speaks fluent English as well as Hebrew" Connie replied."Oh so she has some idea of where she comes from?" he said snidely.
"She knows who you are doesn't she?! I brought her back here because I knew it was better for both me and her, and I was eventually going to introduce you both. It just happened a little sooner than I thought. But from the minute she was born I've always tried my hardest to ensure she knows who you are" she said.
"Yeah, course you have" he snapped.
Connie sighed, "Tali, open your locket for Aba" she said.
Tali giggled and opened up the heart on her necklace, showing it to Jacob.
Inside was a picture of herself and Connie then another of Connie and Jacob.
"Believe me now?" She asked.
Jacob nodded, "are you staying permanently? Can I have a relationship my daughter?" he asked.
"Of course you can. I want more than for you to get to know Tali. I want us, I want you and me. Leaving you was the biggest mistake I ever made, please Jacob. Give me another chance, for our daughter"////////
Four years later
"Ari! Hurry up baby, we'll miss the flight!" Connie shouted up the stairs.
"Coming Ima" Ari replied then came down the stairs on his bum carrying his teddy bear.
"Con where are the passports?!" Jacob shouted from outside.
"In my handbag! I told you ten minutes ago!" she replied.
"Oh yeah, sorry babe! Tali get the passports out of Ima's bag for me" he said.
Tali held them out to him, "silly Aba" she replied.
Jacob laughed and shook his head, "let's get you in the car missy" he said.Connie soon came outside with Ari then put him in the car with Tali before she and Jacob loaded their bags into the boot.
They both got in then Jacob started the engine.
"Where are we going again Aba?" Tali asked.
Jacob smiled, "back to where you were born" he said.
"The hospital?! We go there all the time for your work!" she replied with a groan.
Connie laughed and shook her head, "no baby, we are going to Israel. The country you where born in" she told her.
"Few! I thought you were making me live in the hospital for two weeks then!" Tali said with a giggle.
Connie smiled and rested her hand on Jacob's thigh as he drove, "I love you" she said.
"I love you too sweetcheeks" he replied.Slightly inspired by NCIS, hope you all enjoy it x
