The two continued on the trail, talking about this and that. Jesly would occasionally come up and bother CJ, pulling at the ringed earrings on her ears. "I swear fairy I will kill you!" The pirate girl yelled multiple times on their excursion.
Peyton had showed her the flowers, the many birds and named them all. They walked for quiet some time. And Pey kicked down into the pond, his foot catching water as it splashed onto CJ. A good twenty minutes had passed after that, of them kicking and splashing each other with water.
And CJ, well, she was actually having fun. A good kind of fun, but she absolutely hated herself for having a good time with this boy, blood of Pan. It was eating her up on the inside, and good thing her father or siblings weren't around to witness it.
Soon, the two were sitting down near the pond. Their clothes were drying off as they watched water fall from the rocks. Peyton looked over at CJ, extending his hand.
"Wanna dance?" He questioned her.
"I don't dance." She simply stated, looking down at the skirt she wore.
"C'mon, everyone dances." Pey stated, and suddenly the fairy was back and trying to pull CJ to her feet. The boy watched as the girl swatted the dreadful creature away, before standing up.
"Whatever." She stated, and he extended his hand to hold hers.
She was hesitant, but soon enough, she let go of that gut feeling telling her no. And reached out to take his hand.
At this, Pey pulled her close to him. She gasped and he smiled. And they simply swayed back and forth. CJ seemingly giggled softly, shaking her head at the way this boy was treating her. She looked up into his beautiful eyes, and his tan sink glistened in the light of Never Neverland. He was incredibly handsome, she had thought.
The fairy smiled, sitting on Peys shoulder as he slowly wrapped his arms around CJ. She let him, acting like she didn't care at all.
"Have you ever danced before?" Pey asked.
"Yeah, a few times back on the Isle."
Pey smiled down at her, "You're not very good at it."
"Shut up!" CJ laughed, slapping him across his shoulder.
Pey just stood there, swaying to the sound of the water hitting the rocks. "You look really pretty."
CJ raised her eyebrows and moved her head downwards, her eyes still looked on him. "Excuse me!" She stated, and he shook his head with a smile, "Beautiful I meant beautiful."
She simply tapped his head, "Dang right, pet."
And they stayed there for a while, before making their way out of the tree and back to the beach...
The next few days were quite the adventure. CJ had woken Peyton up pretty early to go see the ship. And when she saw it, oh how she freaked out. They had to go through a waterfall to find it, and once they did, they sailed down the small river that lead into the ocean.
That day was beautiful. It was the most extraordinary thing she had ever did. Peyton had been skeptical about having CJ steer and give her orders, but he really didn't have a choice. She spent her whole life in her father's shadow, this was her one chance to actually steer a ship. The two went across the waves on the somewhat large ship. It was about the size of her father's, and it was in perfect condition.
"What's her name?" CJ questioned while looking out across the water the day they were on the sea.
"Her?" Pey had asked.
