It was a bright sunny day, Hiccup and Astrid were walking hand in hand to the newly made day care for viking children. Astrid laughed softly as Hiccup made a sarcastic comment at something.
"How can you be this stupid and also be the chief of Berk?" Astrid teased him, swinging their arms back and forth, playfully.
"That's why I have you!" Hiccup teased back, tilting his head at her, grinning widely.
"To stop the stupid!" He explained, making her chuckle and shake her head. She smiled back at him as he kissed her cheek briefly.
Astrid opened her mouth to reply as they walked into the building, but was cut off by a little girl pulling her fiancé's hand.
"Chief Hiccup, come play with us!" The girl shouted excitedly while dragging Hiccup to the other side of the room.
Hiccup waived bye to Astrid, smiling. Astrid giggled, covering her mouth with her hand, while Hiccup almost fell down because of the little girl's pulling.
One of the kids tagged him and started a game of Tag-You're-It, making everyone run around everywhere. Astrid laughed at Hiccup as he pretended to run after them, then she turned to talk to a few people about the new day care.
After a few minutes of talking to a viking mom, she turned to look at Hiccup as she heard a little girl's shout of pain.
"OW!" The little girl who was pulling Hiccup earlier cried as everyone backed away from her, giving way for Hiccup to kneel down beside her.
"Shhh, shhh. It's okay!" Hiccup said soothingly to the girl, looking at her sore knee.
"It'll go away" He said, softly while smiling at her and examining the sore. The little girl sniffed in reply, feeling better after Hiccup gave her knee a small kiss.
The little girl giggled and lunged at Hiccup, giving him a hug. Hiccup fell to the floor with a thud as he chuckled and hugged the child back.
Astrid's heart fluttered at the sight. She smiled and laughed a little at him, crossing her arms across her chest. She sighed happily as Hiccup smiled at her, flashing his forest green eyes.
Hiccup turned back to the little girl as she pulled back, smiling, and waived goodbye. He chuckled and waived back as he stood up, walking back to Astrid.
"I see you've made a friend" Astrid smiled as Hiccup took her hand again.
"Jealous?" Hiccup asked, teasingly and laughed, making Astrid punch him.
"That is for being stupid" She said, smirking triumphantly as he rubbed his side.
"Ow!" Hiccup complained, over exaggerating the impact of the punch. Astrid rolled her eyes and chuckled.
"This" She began, smiling as she leaned in and gently kissed his cheek. "Is for everything else" Astrid whispered as she pulled back, the both of them smiling.
"Yeah, pretty used to it now" Hiccup said, grinning as they walked over to talk to Valka who was helping out.
"It has been 6 years" Astrid added, remembering the first time she did that to him.
They both laughed as they remembered how awkward they were back then.•••
After half an hour of talking and discussing, it was time for the kids to go to sleep. A viking led the children to another room so they could take a nap. The couple walked to the door, but Astrid was slowed down by someone.
Before going into the room, a little boy tugged on Astrid's skirt. She looked down and saw a little boy staring at her innocently.
"Hey, there" Astrid cooed at the little boy, giving him a small smile and kneeling down to talk to him.
"Are you and our chief married?" The boy asked in a tiny and curious voice, tilting his head slightly to look at her.
Astrid chuckled and nodded lightly. "We're about to be" She answered, smiling widely. Chief, it was so strange that the title fitted Hiccup well.
"Do you love the chief?" He asked, getting a nod from Astrid in reply. "But you hit him earlier" He stated, making Astrid laugh softly.
"Well, that's our relationship" She explained shortly, sighing in content. The boy frowned even more.
"Why?" He asked her again, furrowing his eyebrows. Astrid thought that he was so cute. He reminded her of Hiccup when they were younger, so curious and so innocent.
"Isn't your nap-time?" Astrid pointed out, grinning as the boy rubbed his arm, shyly.
"I can't sleep" The boy frowned at her, showing his big bright green eyes. "Can you sing for me?" He asked in a quiet voice, biting his bottom lip and swinging his hands.
Astrid smiled at the boy and picked him up while walking to the room. "Sure" She whispered as she closed the door behind them.
Hiccup turned to see that Astrid was no longer beside him, looking around to find where she was, he saw her figure retreating into a room with a small boy in her hands.
He opened the door slightly, peeking inside to see what she was up to. He smiled as he saw her lay the boy down on a bed, sitting at his feet and humming a familiar tune.
"I'll swim and sail on savage seas
With ne'er a fear of drowning
And gladly ride the waves of life
If you will marry me.." She sang softly while tucking a piece of hair behind the boys ear, his eyes fluttering closed.Astrid turned her head to see Hiccup's head poking out from behind the door, grinning. She blushed and quickly kissed the top of the boy's head goodnight, walking outside of the room.
"I love you" Hiccup said as she closed the door and faced him, smiling.
"Shut up, babe" Astrid muttered, blushing wildly as he put his arm over her shoulder.

"Son, Astrid! Could you hold little Erica for me, please? I need to go somewhere, I'll be back!" Valka said, handing her son a baby girl wrapped in a blanket and leaving before they could say anything.
"Well, you're adorable aren't you?" Astrid cooed at baby in his hands, tickling her a little, making Erica giggle.
"Well, I am very adorable" Hiccup replied back to Astrid, who rolled her eyes at him. He loved seeing Astrid get this cozy with a baby, it made him so happy.
"Okay, my turn" Astrid told Hiccup as he transferred the baby into her arms, smiling at how excited she was to hold the baby.
"You are one cute baby, aren't you, Erica?" Hiccup pouted, talking in a baby voice. Astrid laughed at him as he continued to talk in a baby voice.
Leaning at the door, Valka stared at them, grinning. They were truly gonna be amazing parents, she thought seeing the baby laugh and giggle as they tickled and talked to her.
And they would have cute kids...
