I'm going to throw this out there before I continue with the review. I'm very critical of creepypasta as I believe that the better ones are almost always brushed over due to people paying attention to the bigger ones, which aren't scary in my eyes.
I don't really recommend having 'canon' (bigger pastas) be part of your story, because it can stop you from being original unless done very well, but since this is a hot take in the pair, I don't have much of an issue with it.
