Alright all I can say here is to add more description. This is mainly for the appearance and the personality. There's a couple of contradictions in the personality like you say he's hot headed but also calm and gentle.
Also be careful having a character this young because it's often hard to write them well.

Be careful with his parents thing but apart from that these are fine as long as they help develop the character and it all makes sense.

Alright, you have to add more positive stuff before this all takes place so that his Backstory isn't complete tragedy and every character needs soemhting good to happen them so that they can keep pushing forwards.

Final thoughts I think this character is pretty good, you just need to develop him and bit further and smooth out some bumps and it should be all good.
