Title: Bloodlust and Butterflies
Author: kappacowboy
Reviewer: _CynthiaGomes_
Plot: 4/5
So far into the story (till chapter 4) the plot is simple, but I cannot predict what's to come next for Lucia, which is a huge plus point for the writer. The story has perfect amount of mystery and romance that the reader is pulled to read the next chapter in order to find out what's gonna happen, but the summary of the story is kinda of a little giveaway. Writers, please be always careful on how you write the summary -- you should never give away the key points of your story in the summary. In this case your summary mentions that the Duke is not a human which is a huge mistake if you ask me.
Characterisation: 4/5
The characters are well thought through. The past of the protagonist is well potrayed in the story. I would also like to see more involvment of the other characters later in the story because, so far, all we know is the thoughts of the protagonist, but that's totally up to the writer and their creativity.
Theme: 3/5
I totally can guess the theme of the story. I can even guess the plot twist or, in this case, the 'real identity' of the Duke. I am not sure if that's just me or other readers can figure it out too just four chapters into the story, but I would say you definitely keep it as long a secret as you can, even from the readers. I would like to know about the Duke's identity later in the story -- that is, somewhere around the tenth or eleventh chapter into the story depending on the storyline. All I am saying is that chapter four is a bit to early to make it obvious -- make it a bit more vague. Also please be clear on the timeline of the story; it's really confusing to be able to place it on a particular timeline. That's the only part you should work on.
Grammar + Punctuation: 5/5
There are hardly any mistakes in grammar or punctuation in the story. So no complaints on that.
OVERALL SCORE: 16/20
This book is really fascinating for fiction readers. I would definitely recommend it to people on Wattpad to give it a read. If the story is written carefully, then I see it definitely going somewhere good!
