Part 35: Karaoke

"Avengers Prom?!?" Tony, Steve, Bucky, and Natasha all shout kind of confused. "Yeah well yesterday I was taking with Wanda, Pietro, and Peter and 'Prom' came up and as it turns out Wanda and Pietro didn't actually go to prom. I didn't go to prom either and as we thought about it more we realized that Thor and Loki didn't go to prom and neither did you Natasha" you explained. Natasha then confirms that she didn't go to prom but that prom isn't a big deal in Russia, at least compared to America. You tell them its happening and that they all need to find a date because you already started planning, it was going to be the best old person prom ever. They didn't like you referring to it as 'old person prom' but you reminded them that the majority of the Avengers were well past prom age so 'old person prom' fit pretty well in your opinion. The rest of the Avengers arrive for the 'emergency meeting' to find lunch instead. You tell Tony to fill them in on everything seeing as you would be too busy with planning.

A few hours had past when Thor stopped by to see you and ask about this prom thing. You explained that it was a sort of "coming of age" event where young humans celebrate becoming adults and finishing their mandatory schooling. It was considered quite the big deal in some parts of Midgard, and you thought it would be fun to throw a 'prom' because most of the Avengers never went to one. While showing Thor what you've planned so far you ask him if he's planning to go and if so does he have a date in mind. Thor tells you he would be delighted to attend and was planning on asking a woman named Jane Foster to be his date. He then tells you all about Jane, how they met, how she was very smart and pretty, he told you everything. You get super excited for Thor, happy he has someone special in his life. He then asks who you were planning to take to 'Avengers Prom' and you get all flustered and embarrassed. He keeps insisting you tell him when you finally crack and say "I was thinking of asking Loki... but there's no way he'd actually say yes". Thor realizes that you were still worried about how Loki was acting the other day and promised he'd go check on him for you. Before you can tell him not to worry about it, (you were just planning on talking to him when he got back) Thor rushes off outside and a portal opens to take him to Asgard.

It's late in the evening when Thor returns with Loki. Thor informed his brother that you were worried about him; worried that he was mad at you or something, making him promise to talk about it with you. They walk in to a karaoke party and Pietro singing 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' by Cyndi Lauper. Everyone was rocking out and dying of laughter, maybe because most of them had been drinking but it was still funny. Even Steve was slightly tipsy, Tony somehow manage or more accurately some who worked for him manage to distill an alcoholic beverage that could get Captain America drunk. The group greets the returning Asgardians warmly, insisting they enjoy the party. Thor is happy to join and Loki reluctantly stays as well. Sam goes next and strangely dedicates the song to Bucky, and he starts singing 'Rasputin' by Boney M. Sam didn't even get a minute into singing before Bucky chased him out of there. You could all hear Sam yelling "I regret nothing!!!" as he continued to run away from Bucky. Everyone starts cracking up and even Loki had an amused smile on his face.

Tony who was pretty much wasted at this point said that it was Loki's turn. Loki looks surprised and you get excited telling him you would love to hear him sing. He tells the group no repeatedly as they keep insisting, but you cut them off "guys if Loki doesn't want to sing he doesn't have to, maybe next time?". Loki agrees with you saying he'd sing next time. Natasha then says once Loki has a few drinks he'll be singing up there in no time. Thor then takes the mic and sings 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus. Natasha and Wanda do a duet and sing 'Can't Remember To Forget You' by Shakira ft. Rihanna. Steve sings 'Jailhouse Rock' by Elvis Presley, a little after his time but he liked Elvis's music. Peter sang 'Arcade' by Duncan Laurence he was surprisingly good, even better than the original you told him. They then told you it was your turn but you said no and that you'd only make their ears bleed. Loki and Thor pipe up mentioning that you actually had a lovely voice. You give them a death glare as you think about how you knew Loki had heard you sing but when did Thor? Tony then taunts you, and the others join in, it was a matter of pride now, you had to shut them up. You sing 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri and you crushed it, the others were in awe of your sweet voice. Loki quickly gets up saying nothing as he leaves the room, hearing that song was too much for him. It spoke to him, after he lost you a piece of himself did die, and even after 1000 years he was still very much in love with you.

You are about to chase after Loki but Thor stops you, and says that he should talk to him. The party pretty much ends after that with You, Vision, and Peter helping everyone into bed. Peter tells you he'll help clean up but you insist on him going home, you didn't want him to worry his Aunt May. He eventually gives in after a little bit of back and forth. Vision was also planning on helping you but Wanda was currently barfing up her guts into the toilet and you both decided it would be best if someone stayed with her and the others, in case they needed help. So after taking a quick shower and changing into your pajamas (tight tank top, sports bra, chemistry pants and black slipper boots) you head back downstairs to clean up. Seeing as it was just you cleaning up it took longer than you expected, and being so tired you go right to bed. As you reach your door you pause for a moment wondering whether or not you should check on Loki. Thor said he would handle it, but you were still very worried. You decide it would be best just to let Thor handle it for now, you'll ask Loki about it tomorrow. You quickly jump into bed so ready to go to sleep.
