Everyone was back inside the tower for the cocktail hour, giving Melody and Pietro time to set up everything for the reception, clearing away the benches replacing them with the tables and chairs you built. The long table was set up a little ways from the wedding arch where a smaller table meant for four was, for you and Loki, plus two family members being Thor on Loki's side and Queen Frigga on yours. You were so happy she came, Odin couldn't make it, although in all honesty part of you didn't want him to come as rude or as mean as that might sound, you really didn't want him there. The rest of the guests could fit at the long table you built, after all, you only had like 30 guests in total, including the children who would be sat at the ends with their parents.

The adults were given the option of having a Vodka Spritzer, a Tequila Sunrise, or Whiskey Highball and the kids and those remaining sober got a choice between Juice, Soda or a Shirley Temple. As for appetizers, the guests had the options of Mozzarella Sticks, Lasagna Bites, Spring Rolls, dumplings, and Crab Cake Poppers, along with some fresh veggies with hummus and some fruit. Everyone pretty much knew each other as most of them either worked together or met at the Avengers' Prom, so for the most part they just talked about Melody, or to them. Not even Dr.Strange was aware of a magic sentient garden and was truly fascinated while the younger kids had a blast eating their little snacks and chasing Melody's little lights around.

All the guests soon entered back into the courtyard, it was beautiful, vines and trees grew and came together all around the main open space, with several rows of long white fabric draped down from the limbs of the trees making a tent of sorts, but one with multiple symmetrical gaps where you could see the branches and sky above. From the top of the tower, you sent down several drifting lanterns that floated around the courtyard, lighting up the entire space so Melody could have a little break and let their colours ease. You looked out over everything from the window as Loki took a few minutes just relaxing on the bed, while not so subtly trying to convince you to come over and lay down with him, but you didn't budge. You knew what would happen if you got in bed with him now and not wanting to miss the rest of your wedding you opted to remain over by the large window, snacking on the appetizers you managed to sneak upstairs just before the cocktail hour began.

Loki eventually came over, greeting you as Ms.Laufeyson, giving you several kisses while trying to steal a couple of your snacks, but you caught him and gave him a playfully hard time about it. Loki then tried to get frisky with you, kissing your neck as he gently whispered all of your nicknames, and you had a really hard time saying no to him, but somehow you managed. "Baby," you giggled, "it's time to go back downstairs", you let out another little squeal, as you tried to get Loki to come with you over to the stairs but he wasn't having it. "You really want to do it with Melody watching?" you ask but Loki just continued, unbothered by your question, "with your mother right outside," and just like that he pulled away. Loki gave you a playful glare and a pout, while you just let out a little laugh, asking him for assistance in removing your veil as you had difficulty taking it out without also taking out your hair comb pin. Of course, he helped you but he did so while complaining under his breath about you not wanting sexy time, and you told him there would be plenty of time for that later.

Tony was your wedding host, introducing you as Mr. & Ms.Laufeyson as you entered the courtyard, he had gotten everyone to sit down in their assigned seats before you came down. He gave you and Loki quite the introduction, it was loud, over the top, and truly wonderful, Tony was just being his charming playboy self, and honestly, you didn't think anyone would have done a better job. Everyone cheered and stood up, clapping as you and Loki made your way in and onto the dancefloor, for your first dance together, as was tradition.

You got into position as Loki raised his hand, snapping to start the music, while you adjusted the brightness and colour of your floating lanterns. You made the area around the dancefloor appear much more romantic looking, as some of the lights shifted into a warm fiery yellow and the others into a soft pink. The song you chose was "La Vie En Rose", and although you did consider "Make You Feel My Love", by Adele, the slow and romantic jazz song by Louis Armstrong felt so right, it was perfect. So over the next three minutes or thereabouts, you performed a simple choreographed dance routine you had been practicing for a couple of weeks now, in between rehearsing the much more complex Asgardian dances you'd have to know and perform next week.

The dance was beautiful, everyone thought so as well but you didn't notice as your eyes were focused only on Loki, you couldn't take them off of him as you thought about the first time you danced together. It was right here, nearly a year ago, that memory was so precious as not only were you able to get over your slight fear of dancing but you also were able to really open up about your past. Loki made you feel like it was okay to be sad if that's what you needed, you didn't have to hide the darkest parts of yourself with him, and because of that, you shined even brighter. The dance finished with Loki dipping you all dramatically, and as he pulled you up, you yanked him into a kiss, telling him for what I believe might have been the millionth time, that you loved him.

"I love you too, darling," Loki whispered sweetly as you just held each other close on the dancefloor, completely forgetting you were surrounded by people until Sam spoke up, jokingly saying to get a room, making everyone burst out laughing. You found yourself still giggling as you and Loki walked over to the head table to take your seats, while Tony continued his speech. Tony then passed the mic to you, and you greeted everyone, thanked them for coming, saying that each one of them made this day even more special, hoping everyone had a good time today. You then gave the mic back to Tony as Loki didn't have anything to say as you covered it all and with that, your reception had begun.
