Life has been good so far, but I have had no luck with bringing my social life to life as people that I've reached out to in town to create friendships with seem to forget that I exist or intentionally ignore me or leave me on seen. I don't know why. I guess finding friends in town really is hard, and not has easy as it is online. The landlord at the house has not added new flooring to the house ever since we moved here on July 15. He promised back then that the house would have a new floor and have a new added window for the broken window by August. It's almost been 3 months since we moved, and nothing has been done to the house. My mom has heard from her friends in town that the landlord thinks he is God; that he walks like he owns the place; that he thinks he's a millionaire because of the amount of houses he owns and rents to people in need, and because of his successful business in Mexico. I now believe the landlord is taking advantage of us as we accepted the house the way he left it, but the reason we did was because we needed the house as soon as possible, and we trusted him. We believed him when he said he would get the house fix after 2 weeks as he had to go to Mexico for 2 weeks. What a shame. I hope he fixes the house real soon because at this point, he is being immoral with us. But we can't say anything out of anger to him because he can easily kick us out as we don't even have a contract with him as he also promised he'd give us that after 2 weeks of us living there. We'll see what happens I guess, but I am going to start applying for apartments in town and be on their waiting lists.
