Luo JinXiao winced in pain and nearly jumped up, quickly grabbing QiongQi's tail with a frown. "Sweetie!"

Just as they were in a standoff, a figure appeared, stumbling with blood dripping from her sleeve. Luo JinXiao hurried forward to support her.

The person looked up, and upon seeing Luo JinXiao, sighed in relief, her knees giving way as she collapsed.

Luo JinXiao knelt down, gently brushing aside her tangled hair, only to be shocked to see Chi Yi, gravely injured. Her once-beautiful face was now contorted with pain.

"Little Cultivator Luo, they’ve destroyed the third door. They’re ambushing people, and several of them are at the Nascent Soul stage. We couldn’t withstand them, and many of our comrades were injured. Since you’re alone, hide and don’t go further. Once someone gets the elixir, they’ll let us all out," Chi Yi said through gritted teeth, trying to heal herself.

"Who are they?" Luo JinXiao asked, reaching out to heal her. Her spiritual energy was inherently more effective, quickly restoring some color to Chi Yi's pale face.

"The Sect of Life and Death," Chi Yi spat angrily. "They pose as a righteous sect yet use such despicable tactics. According to the rules, no one should be hurt before the final stage. But they’re exploiting their higher cultivation to ambush us, breaking the third door first to lay in wait. It’s disgraceful!"

If they were all at the Nascent Soul stage, handling one might be feasible, but against several, even with her divine sword, Luo JinXiao knew she couldn’t hold them off. She clenched her fists, her mind momentarily blank.

"They’re coming," Chi Yi warned, pushing Luo JinXiao away. Conjuring a mystical bow, she wiped the blood from her lips, her expression fierce. "Little Cultivator Luo, I can’t gauge your strength, but by your age, you likely can’t resist them. Go."

"I saw your righteous behavior and thought you’d be a good friend. I’m already injured, so I might as well fight them to avenge my fallen comrades," Chi Yi declared, her black robe billowing behind her.

Luo JinXiao felt a stirring in her heart, but before she could respond, the air before them burst, revealing three tall, robust youths striding forward, exuding a sinister aura.

The tallest, most striking one wielded a long spear, its tip trailing black smoke, sinister and eerie. Without a word, he struck, sending a dark shadow at Luo JinXiao’s face. Her eyes narrowed as she summoned her divine sword, easily deflecting the attack. Sparks flew as black clashed with white.

"Despicable! Aren’t you afraid of being laughed at once we’re out of here?" Chi Yi shouted furiously.

"Enough chatter. The rules never said we couldn’t strike secretly or start early. Don’t blame others for your isolation. We want the elixir. Surrender now, and we’ll spare your life," the spear-wielding youth sneered, swiftly advancing. Darkness enveloped them, shrouding everything in shadows.

The oppressive aura of his cultivation was daunting. Luo JinXiao quickly closed her eyes, using her spiritual energy to dispel the darkness while retreating swiftly, narrowly avoiding an attack aimed at her face.

"Not bad, little girl, dodging that," the youth taunted, now close, his gaze appraising.

Luo JinXiao loathed such attitudes. Anger flared as she coldly told him to scram, raising her right hand. Her sword enveloped in silvery energy, a blizzard descended, chilling the air. The youth cursed, trying to evade, but icy shards surrounded him, creeping over his body.
