About half an hour later, Qiongqi returned, lightly landing on the ground with a look of satisfaction on her face, holding onto someone.

The person was wrapped in a black robe, his hands bound, thrashing violently before he rolled onto the ground.

“Why are you capturing me? Let me go!” The man was of slight build, with a hooked nose and unkempt, dirty hair. He glared at Luo Jinxiao, glaring fiercely as he spoke.

“That was fast,” Luo Jinxiao muttered to herself. She stood up and walked over to the man, crouching down in front of him.

As Luo Jinxiao approached, a deep fear suddenly welled up within the man, causing him to awkwardly fall silent.

“Where did you catch him?” Luo Jinxiao asked.

“At the foot of the mountain,” Qiongqi replied.

Nodding, Luo Jinxiao suddenly drew Wu Jue, pressing the blade against the man’s throat and asking coolly, “Why are you near the Wuhui Sect?”

The man remained silent, tightly shutting his mouth.

Luo Jinxiao twisted the sword, and the sharp edge instantly cut a line across his neck, black demonic energy oozing from the wound. The man winced in pain and quickly cried for mercy.

Luo Jinxiao halted her actions, saying lazily, “If you don’t want to die, answer honestly.”

“I… I’m just here on orders, observing the movements of the Wuhui Sect nearby. I haven’t killed anyone or done any bad deeds; please don’t kill me,” the man pleaded, hurriedly trying to scoot away from the sharp sword.

“Who issued the orders?”

The man glanced around nervously, hoping to escape, but when he realized there was no way out, he grimaced and replied, “It’s an order from above; I’m just a newly formed little demon. Please let me go.”

Luo Jinxiao studied him for a moment before asking again, “Where is the entrance to the demon realm?”

“This… The entrance to the demon realm is heavily guarded; you wouldn’t be able to get in.”

Luo Jinxiao was too lazy to waste more words on him. She pressed the sword harder against his throat, causing him to wail like a pig being slaughtered. “I’ll take you there, just don’t kill me!”

Having received her answer, Luo Jinxiao sheathed Wu Jue and signaled for Qiongqi to continue binding the man.

Lu Fanzhi, mouth agape, approached Luo Jinxiao cautiously and asked, “You’re planning to go into the demon realm?”

Luo Jinxiao nodded, brushing the dirt off her sword.

“The demon realm is incredibly dangerous! How about I go with you?” Lu Fanzhi expressed her concerns.

Luo Jinxiao shook her head. She intended to sneak into the demon realm alone to ascertain whether Qu Weiyin had truly become what the rumors said, as it would be simpler to do it on her own.

“I’ll leave tomorrow. You and Yan Ying take care of Luo Ning while I’m away,” Luo Jinxiao stated as she tucked her sword away.

“What’s with the sudden decision? You’ve only just returned, and if you meet…” Lu Fanzhi began, but her words trailed off abruptly.

Luo Jinxiao understood what she meant but chose not to answer. Instead, she made her way back to the sect leader’s bamboo hut.

“Where has your master been for these three years? She seems completely transformed,” Lu Fanzhi remarked, turning to Qiongqi with a whisper as she watched Luo Jinxiao's retreating figure.
