The crowd felt as if a massive mountain was pressing down on them, and they instinctively began to step back.

Qu Weiyin heard this and lifted her gaze sharply, the red hue of her eyes appearing even more striking in the sunlight. She involuntarily tightened her grip on her sleeve.

Just as Luo Jinxiao had said, she stood with her back facing those who had turned the six realms against her.

The middle-aged man found himself in a dilemma; he had finally located Qu Weiyin and couldn’t let her go, yet the peculiar and unfathomable power emanating from Luo Jinxiao made him wary of acting recklessly.

“You must think this through. This demon is the enemy of the entire celestial realm. In no time, all the sects will arrive. Once the demon realm is breached, she won’t be able to hide anymore,” he warned.

Luo Jinxiao was already impatient and had no time to listen to his ramblings. With a swift wave of Wujie, a massive gust carrying a fierce blizzard surged outward from her center, and as the crowd saw this, they hurriedly summoned their spiritual energy to resist. However, several were still knocked off their feet by the force.

Only a few advanced cultivators managed to hold their ground.

Exchanging glances, they suddenly threw caution to the wind and charged forward en masse. Luo Jinxiao remained calm; Wujie in her hands suddenly expanded several times, shimmering in the sunlight like crystalline ice as it spun and danced.

The group unleashed a flurry of techniques, attempting to encircle Luo Jinxiao. Their spiritual weapons swirled around her, but she simply flicked her sleeves to summon shards of frost from the summer air, causing their weapons to lose power and crash to the ground like frostbitten eggplants.

Only one woman remained attacking from a distance, wielding a seven-stringed zither made of charred wood. While her attack was not strong, it was capable of disturbing the mind.

Flames burst out from behind, darting past Luo Jinxiao and instantly turning the zither to ashes.

Qu Weiyin appeared at her right side, no longer holding back. The two of them—ice and fire, crimson and white—brought devastation to half the mountainside, creating patches of black and white, accompanied by wisps of dark smoke.

Despite their numerical advantage, the opposing faction quickly found themselves overwhelmed and began to flee in panic between the flames and ice.

“You will face retribution for this!” the middle-aged man shouted, gripping his sword as he struggled against the howling winds. “When we return to report this to the celestial realm and gather everyone, we will come back to capture this demon! At that time, I do not believe you will be so bold to resist!”

As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly retreated, his figure vanishing in an instant. The others, seeing that their leader had fled, did not dare to linger any longer and hastily followed suit amidst a chorus of curses, escaping in droves.

Luo Jinxiao hadn’t intended to pursue them to the ends of the earth. Spitting disdainfully, she gracefully landed on the fractured cliff, shaking off the dust that clung to her sleeves.

“Hypocrites,” she muttered under her breath as she tidied her clothes.

Beside her, a pair of hands gently reached out, helping her smooth down the sleeve that had flipped up, the touch soft and tentative.

“Jinxiao, I—”

Luo Jinxiao raised an eyebrow, peering past her lashes at Qu Weiyin with a cold glare, her anger still simmering. Qu Weiyin, caught in that gaze, found her words faltering.
