I tapped him but realized he wouldn't wake up, so I took the blanket from over the couch and wrapped us in it, falling asleep once more.

When I opened my eyes, John was nowhere to be seen or heard. I got ready for the day and headed out into the hallway.
I didn't get very far as I heard footsteps coming closer. I continued my way but heard Deep talking to someone. It was Ashley.

"He'll kill me. Not just me! He'll kill me, then you, and maybe he'll burn down the whole tower!" Deep raged quietly.

"No, he's not. Not if Red Canary tells him it's fine. He's like a dog on a leash, and as of now, Red Canary is holding that leash." She stated confidently.

As they came into view, I frowned, not liking where their conversation was going.

"Red Canary! Good to see you, we were just talking about you!".Ashley said and smiled forcibly.

"I heard." I replied simply.

"I have nothing to do with her crazy ideas! You know that Red!" Deep protested nervously.

"I feel like we shouldn't be discussing the matter out and about." I sighed and walked back to my apartment.
We all took a seat at the dinner table, and I sighed. "What's this about? I could only hear so much."

"I have a suggestion. It is more a PR suggestion, but seeing what happened with Brad, PR has asked me to take the lead in the matter.

"Who's Brad?" I asked with knitted eyebrows.

"Mr Half a face from yesterday's meeting." Deep jumped in, and a light flickered back on.

"Ah yeah, I remember. Gross." I said, thinking back to the old man with the mop.

Ashley caughed, and I focused back on her. "PR was suggesting that instead of #DeepRed, we could make up something different, that would include Homelander, as to avoid confusion concerning your relationship.

"Are you serious..." I asked and laughed. "That's like you're asking Homelander to join a threesome with Deep and me! Have you told him? No, of course not. Otherwise, you wouldn't be standing here!" I yelled. "Shouldn't you know better?" I asked bluntly.

"Well, if you put it like that, it does sound... weird." She said and nodded, "We'll scrap that." She added.

"Yeah. And you better pray to whoever that Homelander hasn't gotten wind of this shit. Otherwise, you and anyone else involved will be joining Mr. Half a face." I added and shooed her away.
