"We wanted to apologize for causing you so much stress earlier today." Homelander said softly. "Not just us but all of the seven." He added and stood straight.

"Thank you. I hope I don't seem ungrateful." He sighed.

"Of course not, sweetheart." His Father said, kneeling down beside the bed, holding his son's hand.

"Your Father is right. Things didn't go according to plan, and you were the one who had to experience someone elses poor planning." I explained and smiled lightly. "Would you like us to stay for a little bit?" I asked, and he smiled as far as he was able to.

"I'd like that very much." He said happily.
Mrs. Newsome was already up, stating she'd look for some chairs, but Homelander stopped her.

"Please. Allow me. You should stay here by his side. I'm sure I'll manage to find us some chairs." He chuckled and made his way out of the room.

"He's so kind." She said quietly and sat back down next to her husband.

"He really is." I agreed and smiled at her. "So! Abner. Would you like to talk about anything specific? I also brought some T-shirts. I know you're no little kid anymore, but I thought maybe we could sign them or draw a beard on A-Train." I told him and winked while showcasing the different T-shirts.
He started coughing again but quickly stopped on his own. Abner then nodded, and I handed over the T-shirts.

He was drawing a mustache on A-Train when Homelander came back with two chairs.
"Look what I found!" He laughed and placed them next to Abners bed, across from his Parents.

"Thank you, Homelander." I said and took a seat.

"What have you two been up to?" He asked and looked over at Abner.

"Oh, nothing special, we just gave A-Train a bit of a makeover." I said innocently and chuckled while Abner smiled.

The boy presented the bedoodled T-shirt. A-Train's smile bore a toothgap. He sported a monobrow and mustache.
Homelander and I had hearts drawn around us, and black noir got little smileys surrounding him.
"I think we should make this an official design. This is art!" I stated overly dramatic. Abner laughed and smiled.

"Agreed. How fast can you work. We're gonna need like a trillion of the masterpieces." Homelander said, seriously but winked.
