The day of debut came and we headed to the Bellevue Manila.
Sa wakas, matatapos na rin 'tong paghihirap ko at mahahanap ko na rin ang mga magulang ko ng maayos. Sabi ng inutusan ko, nakita na nya ang nitso ng nanay ko. Balak ko na rin sabihin sa Tita ko na nakita ko na ang nitso pero hindi ang koneksyon ko sa kanila.
Masaya na 'ko na makita at malaman ang pinagmulan ko. Sabi ko nga hindi ko naman hinahangad na makilala nila ko, eto lang talagang si Alice ang makulit na gustong magpakilala.
Speaking of Alice, she's unusually quiet right now at the passenger seat and I'm really enjoying every minute of it. She sighed heavily while clasping both of her hands. "Kinakabahan ako.."
"Bakit naman?"
"Hindi kasi katulad sa CMAN, konti lang tao. Ang laki kasi ng venue kaya siguradong maraming tao mamayang gabi.."
I don't why she's buzzing around this whole 'performance' of hers because honestly, she could nail every single note she'll sing. I never heard her off key kahit na naghuhugas lang sya ng pinggan o nagluluto kaya hindi ko na sya pinansin hanggang sa makarating kami sa hotel.
Sinalubong naman kami ng isa sa mga inutusan ni Denise at dinala kami sa isang kwarto na nakalaan para maging dressing room ni Alice.
Gaya ng unang imbitasyon sa kanya, nagpaalam ako para umikot at pagbaba ko sa Function Hall kung saan nakita ko si Denise na nagsu-supervise sa pag-aayos ng mga upuan at mesa. This is the first time I saw the actual plan and I all could say is.. this is a fairytale/royal ball-themed Hall.
Pastel colors are everywhere. Mostly, different hues of pink were used to accentuate the princess theme. Every table has its own white long-necked vase filled with different kinds of flowers, arranged with sophistication. Light fabric drapings hang across the whole place, from one sparkling chandelier to another. A tree of pink cupcakes lies at the side of the three buffet table located at the back of the Hall. Each table had different dishes, from the main course to the dessert. There's even a photobooth near the entrance for vanity and memories.
The podium was assembled in front of the hall where the debutant was supposed to be seated on the golden roman chair. Asymmetric trunks with cherry blossoms ate the back of the platform, creating a mystic aura on the stage. The waiters and waitresses wore uniforms like the maids in medieval times and knights are placed at the entrance with swords raising up, the tips intersecting each other.
Kabayo na lang kulang, lilipad na.
Tyempo naman napalingon sa'kin si Denise kaya napangiti ito at lumapit. "Hey, Handsome. You ready?"
