when stiles overhears you telling lydia that you like him outside of the sheriffs office that he was sat in he turns to scott and a wide smile spreads across his lips.
"did you hear that scott? she likes me!" he grinned.
"i heard," scott replied, smiling at his best friend, "so when are you going to ask her on a date?"
"i, uh..." stiles stammered, "i don't know."
"well you know she'll say yes..." scott suggested.
stiles groaned, "um, right now?"
scott nodded, "no better time than the present."
"i guess..." stiles said nervously.
he took a deep breath and stood up, "you know what— i'm going to go out there and ask her out right now." he said confidently.
scott nodded, gesturing towards you, "the opportunity is right there."
and so stiles marched out of the sheriffs office and asked you out, with you not even having to think twice to saying yes. when he walked back into the office scott couldn't stop smiling.
"you did it!"
"i did! i have a date!" stiles exclaimed excitedly, things were looking up for once in his life and he couldn't believe how lucky he was that you agreed to go on a date with him.
