"it's not what it looked like, y/n." stiles sighed as you confronted him about what looked like an intimate moment with lydia that had happened earlier in the day.
you were in the early stages of dating stiles yet you'd always been slightly paranoid about his crush on lydia.
"it sure looked like you were in the middle of something." you said quietly, not wanting to cause an argument but you couldn't let it slide.
stiles took hold of your hands slowly, rubbing his thumbs over the palms of them, "y/n... there's nothing going on between lydia and i. you're the only one i have feelings for, the girl of my dreams." he said, blushing slightly.
"really?" you couldn't help but smile at how adorable he was.
"yes, really. lydia was just helping me plan a surprise for you... but you won't get to see it for a while." he grinned.
"what did i do to deserve you, stiles?" you asked as you leaned closer to him, he closed the distance and kissed you softly.
"i love you, y/n." he whispered as he pulled away from the kiss, resting his forehead against yours.
