as lydia, malia and kira take a late night drive you come up in the conversation.
"how come y/n couldn't come on our ride along tonight?" kira asked.
"she has a date." lydia rolled her eyes.
"oh, someone's jealous!" malia teased.
lydia looked out of the window of the car, "no, i'm not."
"come on, lyds. we've all seen the way you look at her whenever she's around." kira said.
"totally." malia added.
"and what if i did?? there's no way she'd ever want to date me, we're just friends." lydia sighed.
"i'm not so sure of that... her heart beats so fast whenever she sees you." malia said.
lydia glanced over at malia, "it does?"
malia nodded, keeping her eyes on the road.
"why would she date someone else?" lydia asked sadly.
"she probably thinks you don't like her back." malia explained.
"just ask her out next time you see her, she'll say yes, trust us." kira said, leaning forward between her two best friends.
"hm... okay. i'll ask her. if this thing goes south it's your fault." lydia replied, although she felt secretly happy inside knowing that you liked her back.
