stiles and scott stop playing as they notice coach finstock start late night lacrosse try-outs for a new team number after one of the team was hurt in a mysterious accident.
stiles notices that you happen to be trying out, aka the girl he's had a crush on for years but never had the guts to talk to.
for a moment he wondered if you'd be able to play, but his eyes opened widely when you scored a goal against the rest of the people trying out.
"are you sure she's not a... you know, werewolf." he elbows scott, who shook his head.
"i'm sure. maybe she's just that good," scott shrugged, "plus if she becomes part of the team you can actually talk to her."
stiles frowned, "i can't."
"it really isn't that hard." scott said.
"hm." stiles mumbled.
once they heard coach blow his whistle, he sent the team away apart from you.
"what's he saying?" stiles whispered to scott.
"sh!" scott muttered.
after a moment he turned to stiles grinning, "guess who's joining the team."
"really?!" stiles asked, his voice rising.
"yep," scott patted stiles' back, "time to whip out those flirting skills, you'll need them." he laughed.
