when you ask her to dance in the middle of the tavern, she looks confused but smiles.
"right here? no one else is dancing, sweet y/n." she laughs, even her laugh sounded like music to your ears.
"i'd just like to dance with my love in my favourite place, you wanted me to be more spontaneous... so here i am." you proclaimed, holding out your hand to her.
instead of refusing, she took hold of your hand and pulled you close to her, spinning you around, "if it's a dance you want..."
she span you around the room, both of you laughing with joy as the others watched— they soon got up themselves and danced, singing their own songs that they would sing at special events.
you both managed to make the whole room dance around with you, and you'd never been happier than being with marie and surrounded by your friends and family you'd grown up surrounded by.
it was truly a perfect moment to celebrate the end of the beast that had plagued the town.
