~A REMINDER OF THE EPIC ETERNITY TO BE PURSUING
Even with how awesome some of the scenes were in "Black Panther" (the cool technology, epic music, etc.) I had to remind myself to not get caught up in that but remember that the eternal life to be had living in God's presence in the new earth and heavens, will be a hundred times more epic than anything our imagination can conjure up. Two hundred years from now, movies like "Black Panther" will be all but forgotten. What are we living/gearing up for? Will I let my life be consumed with something momentary beautiful or awesome; or rather, with something (or Someone) who lasts for eternity? The human imagination and creativity is amazing as it echoes the image and character of God. Yet at the end that is all it is: A moment and an echo. The eternal life awaiting in the new earth and heavens for us is more epic than anything human imagination could even come close to conjuring up. Let us acknowledge yet not get caught up in the art but ultimately be lost in the Divine Artist who is behind the ones who gave them such creativity and imagination.
"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
