"WHAT I SEE AS URGENT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHAT YOU SEE AS URGENT"

"If the whole body were an eye, where would  be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would  be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be?" ~I Corinthians 12:17‭-‬19

Due to the age of information we live in, there's so many of us contending with fellow followers of God and with our fellow men, on what world issues should take primary/precedence and be at the forefront of in the battle for souls:

Prolife movement over homelessness
Presidential election over covid deaths
Child murders over generational guilt
National tragedies over local tragedies
Pedophile cases over survivors of natural disasters
Masking mandates over deaths in Lebanon
Personal trials over the persecuted church
etc...

Brothers & sisters, reality check: WE ARE NOT GOD. We are to imitate the Father while not attempting to BE God/the Father. Let's be sensitive to each other and the issues of our times, as best we can in our finiteness...and pick one (or several) issue to focus and stick to praying hard on that one. Let's all try better in not faulting others for not having the same convictions and callings we have been given from God, to fulfill. We all have our part to play in God's play; let's stick to the roles given us, and cease from fretting and being jealous over other people's roles...roles, built on the foundation of the Word...that God has given them.

While not be ignorant of what's going on around us, let's not be ignorant of He Who is greater than it all and what He has said in His Word. While engaging the world, let us take refuge in Him and in the shadow of His wings.

"For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!" ~Galatians 5:13‭-‬15

"And Jesus said, 'I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land;  but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath,  in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.  And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.” ~Luke 4:25‭-‬27

"Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” ~Acts 6:1‭-‬4
