As a husband, whenever you feel gladness and joy in being able to forgive, to have grace, and longsuffer (patience) towards your wife, remember these two balancing truths:
It is because:
1) You are created in the image of God [Genesis 1:26-27, Romand 2:14-15]
2) Christ lives in you [Galatians 2:20, 1 Corinthiand 15:10]
...that you are able to love them. Praise be to God alone!
