Perhaps the reason why the Lord lets us struggle (and that's when we feel like we have "lapsed" back into trial) as we do is because He experiences and is the Author of the emotion that He put into men; the thrill of saving His "fair lady in distress."
Perhaps Jesus Christ, as our Husband and Leader, delights in redeeming us. Perhaps, after all, we shouldn't be ashamed of our trial, struggle and weaknesses but rather glory in them by trusting that our Savior will come and rescue us, and redeem us.
Perhaps, after all, we should listen and trust in Him and not be dismayed, because our burdens afford our Husband to reveal His strong love by coming alongside and help us; in making His strength perfected in our weakness.
Perhaps we should rest, be still, and wait on His salvation because it brings Him joy and an eternal thrill of delight in coming to our Enemy's locked tower, crushing the head of the Serpent, and bursting our bonds and setting the captive free.
