FATHER, TEACH US TO BE BOTH HUMBLE & HOLY

"And in His majesty, the Lord rides prosperously; because of truth, humility, and righteousness..." ~Psalm 45:4

From a human perspective, it seems that there is one group of followers of Christ who are better in being holy than they are in also being humble; and the other group, is better in being humble than they are in also being holy.

God has been teaching me much from His Word these past couple years, in how humility must be married/united with holiness.

Recently, He has started in teaching me the other side of this coin; like a Master Blacksmith, He has paused on hammering one side, turned it over, and begun much needed hammering on the other side.

What God is teaching and calling out to me and to the rest of us, from His Word, is that we cannot truly-purely be holy without being humble; nor can we truly-purely be humble without being holy. If we would fulfill the Father's command to be holy, we must be humble. And if we would fulfill His command to be humble, we must be holy.

Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden, in the day of the Lord ’s anger." ~Zephaniah 2:3

"In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds In which you transgress against Me; For then I will take away from your midst Those who rejoice in your pride, And you shall no longer be haughty In My holy mountain. I will leave in your midst A meek and humble people, And they shall trust in the name of the Lord." ~Zephaniah 3:11-12

"And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world,  that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?”Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains." ~John 9:39-41

“And to the  angel of the church  of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen,  the Faithful and True Witness,  the Beginning of the creation of God: ...you say,  ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—I counsel you  to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and  white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.As many as I love, I rebuke and  chasten.  Therefore be  zealous and repent." ~Revelation 3:14,17-19

"When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My holy name—when they said of them, ‘These are the people of the Lord, and yet they have gone out of His land.' But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations wherever they went.“Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God , “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes." ~Ezekiel 36:20-23

"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among  them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”“I  will be a Father to you, And you shall be My  sons and daughters, Says the  Lord  Almighty.”  ~2 Corinthians 6:14-18
