"Seek the Lord , all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility..." ~Zephaniah 2:3
"I am the Lord , that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images." ~Isaiah 42:8

Not only are our lives to be in display and zealous pursuit for magnifying the holiness and glory of God, but also they're to be in pursuit of their own humility, in the presence of such Glory.
If God should lift us up, that is to be His prerogative, His choice. We do not lift ourselves up or dare to presume and thereby equate our glory with that of God's. His clothing is glory but our garments are to be humility. Praise God that even glorious, He is still humble and thereby sets the example for us to follow.

"The Lord is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens. Who is like the Lord our God, Who dwells on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?" ~Psalms 113:4‭-‬6

"...be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” ~I Peter 5:5

"When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord , because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord ’s house. When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the Lord , saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever.” " ~II Chronicles 7:1‭-‬3

"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” " ~Isaiah 6:1‭, ‬5‭-‬7

"Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips." ~Proverbs 27:2

"Do not exalt yourself in the presence of the king, And do not stand in the place of the great; For it is better that he say to you, “Come up here,” Than that you should be put lower in the presence of the prince, Whom your eyes have seen." ~Proverbs 25:6‭-‬7

“For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they all may call on the name of the Lord , To serve Him with one accord. From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, The daughter of My dispersed ones, Shall bring My offering. In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds In which you transgress against Me; For then I will take away from your midst Those who rejoice in your pride, And you shall no longer be haughty In My holy mountain. I will leave in your midst A meek and humble people, And they shall trust in the name of the Lord." ~Zephaniah 3:9‭-‬12
