IF HE WOULD HAVE ME CEASE SEEKING HIM...

IF HE WOULD HAVE ME CEASE SEEKING HIM, THEN LET ME HEAR IT FROM HIS OWN MOUTH

"Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more?Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His  promise failed forevermore?Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah" ~Psalm 77:7-9

We cannot let CIRCUMSTANCES nor FEELINGS be our guide (barometer) that teaches us of our standing with God.

If we must feel that God is against us, that He despises us, and that He would not have us seek Him anymore, then let us at least find confirmation of it, in His Word.

Since we possess limited knowledge, we will only obtain half-truths from our circumstances. Many times the writers of the Psalms confessed their assumptions that God had forgotten and forsaken them. (Psalm 10:1 & 42:9)
And as far as letting our feelings teach and lead us, these come from the heart which God (through Jeremiah) plainly states is deceitful above all things (Jeremiah 17:9).

Apart from the gracious intervention of the Holy Spirit and hiding the Word inside myself, I do not realize how often I listen to the LIES of the Enemy and/or the LETHARGY of my Flesh, when life becomes difficult for me. The Enemy tells me that life's challenges are manifestations of God working against me, and the Flesh would provide me other solutions and balms, other than God, to cope with my sicknesses.

The saving truth of the entire matter is that our Savior King-Father remains the same (Malachi 3:6 & Hebrews 13:8), that His mercies are abundant (Psalm 86:5, 15 & Isaiah 63:7) and they are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:22-23).
I have yet to find one passage that He has written, forbidding me from seeking His face. He will not accept vain, insincere worship, yet He always accepts those who have humble-confidence in who He is.

The Lord will save and redeem...not because of my merits, because I deserve it but...because He has mercifully promised and is faithful to fulfill.

"The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him." ~Nahum 1:7

"The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You." ~Psalm 9:9-10

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." ~2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes. I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are  right, And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me." ~Psalm 119:71,75

"And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." ~2 Corinthians 12:7-10

"As many as I love, I rebuke and  chasten.  Therefore be zealous and repent." ~Revelation 3:19

"And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the  chastening of the  Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” ~Hebrews 12:5-6
