FOOLISHNESS IS FULFILLING THINGS BEFORE THEIR TIME
Giving up your firearm in order to fulfill Isaiah 2:4, "They shall beat their swords into plowshares..." is as foolish as allowing your child to "put their hand in the viper's den" in order to fulfill Isaiah 11:8.
Isaiah 2 has not been fulfilled due to the caveat that all nations have yet to flow to the house of the Lord...just as much as Isaiah 11 remains unfulfilled due to the caveat that all the earth has yet to be covered in the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.
Until these things are fulfilled by God...self-defense and caution must remain.
"And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses." ~Nehemiah 4:14
