Different Things God is teaching Me

ARE ALL DEMONIC ATTACKS-EXPERIENCES...MY FAULT?

I can say from both my oldest sister' and my own personal experience, that demonic attacks (what we often see as nightmares or mental distortions) can either be PRECEDENTED ("deserved") or UNPRECEDENTED. Many demonic attacks become precedented...we bring them onto ourselves because we have opened up spiritual doors to strangers (that are not of the family of God, that are not of the spirit of God) and Enemies. If you drink poison, be prepared to get sick.

"If you have BITTER ENVY and SELF-SEEKING in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, CONFUSION and EVERY EVIL THING are there." ~James 3:14-16

On the flipside of that coin, not all demonic attacks have to be precedented. We can be living our normal, comfortable lives, minding our own business (or even better, in the business of God)...and then the Enemy sees that, envies, and is not content to see us continue living in physical-spiritual comfort and peace, and seeks to disrupt that. It happened with Job [see Job 1 & 2]. It happened with Paul [see 2 Corinthians 12:7-10]. God has given us this guarantee:

"He who desires to live a godly life in Christ, WILL suffer persecution." [2 Timothy 3:12]

Don't be surprised if frustration and opposition encounter you because God has destined you to be like a fish swimming upstream against the downward flow of life. 
If you're not sure whether your experience in being harassed with dark, demonic forces is precedented or unprecedented...pray for the Holy Spirit (the Word of God which is also His Sword; 1 Corinthians 2:10-16) to give you DISCERNMENT & DELIVERANCE whether from the Enemy of your soul or from your own Flesh.

"Search me O God and know my heart. Try me and know my anxieties, and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." ~Psalm 139:23-24

"Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.” Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame. Your covenant with death will be annulled, And your agreement with Sheol will not stand..." ~Isaiah 28:15-16,18

"And lest I should be exalted above measure, by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And the Lord said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproachesm in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." ~2 Coritnhians 12:7-10
