Men of God do not become "men of God" by accident or spontaneously. There is always some one (or more) who is interceding on their behalf, praying for them; father, mother, sibling, friend, pastor, and ultimately Jesus Christ, the Son of Man. (Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25)
Such people, even those who are anonymous to us, deserve our thanks and to God, our humble praise. We could not be "men of God" without them. (Colossians 4:12, Luke 22:31-32)
Such persons are a precious blessing from God, a "Moses" in our lives. The moment they let their raised, interceding hands for God's mercy towards us fall, we fail. (Exodus 17:8-13, Philippians 1:19)May our Father God open the eyes of us struggling men, to see all the merciful strength and help He has given us pertaining to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:2-3, Luke 12:31-32)
O Father God, for Your own glory and not our own, (Psalm 115:1-2, Jeremiah 9:23-24) open our eyes to see that we may be equipped to run the race that You (in strong fatherly delight) have set before us! (Hebrews 12:1-2, Psalm 19:4-5)
