GOD IS HOLY...AND HUMBLE

Of all those who live, only God holds the exclusive right to be "self-righteous" because He is the very essence and epitome of Righteousness.
That being said, God chooses to prove and display His righteousness and perfection by humble means and through Humility.

"Who is like the Lord our God, Who dwells on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth." ~Psalms 113:5‭-‬6

"For You will save the humble people, But will bring down haughty looks." ~Psalms 18:27

"Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble." ~Proverbs 3:34

"For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones." ~Isaiah 57:15

"But (the Son of God) made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross." ~Philippians 2:7‭-‬8

God can be perfectly zealous for Himself, His will, His holiness, but we never can do the same. We cannot excuse ourselves in compromising His humility by displaying, in pride, His holiness. Such is an offense to His testimony and a direct contradiction to who He is. Neither should we confuse or ever equate ourselves to God, mistakenly-deceivingly perceiving ourselves as though having Christ means we have no need of correction, growth, or forgiveness. God does not approve or make fellowship with people who are not completely desolated and empty of themselves and completely dependent on Him.
Our desires and attempts in being zealous for His perfection, His purity, His holiness must ever be checked and tempered by confessing our own Flesh and surrendering to the humble Holy Spirit, to do His miraculous work in us.
