; Self-Righteousness vs. Self-Instruction
Father God, we get so aggravated when our fellow man is so quick to judge and instruct us before they do themselves, and we in turn are so blind when we are quick to judge and instruct them before we do ourselves. The cycle never ends.
Please instruct and teach me to grow in being more quick to judge and instruct my own soul, before doing others. "Can the blind lead the blind?" (Luke 6:36) Remind me to maintain my own heart, and not others, with all diligence (Proverbs 4:23). "Then I will teach transgressors Your ways and sinners shall be converted to You." (Psalm 51:13) In Your mercy, do not let me fall prey to hypocrisy, self righteousness & deception. (Luke 18:9-14 & 2 Corinthians 10:12-18) I am not God Who oversees the growth and holds accountable the stewardship of others. You will not call me to account the affairs of those who may or may not have buried the talents You gave them; You will call me to account for that which You gave me.
