; The Problem of my being made known vs. God being made known

Recently, I've been listening to Eric Metaxas' audiobook on Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and I almost can't help but envy the man.
All the opportunities he had and all the things he learned and accomplished at such a young age is truly remarkable and inspiring. My Flesh misinterprets his life as an inspiration for striving for great things and renown. But this man is not great because he commended himself or lived in such a way as to commend himself to others. Rather, he lived his life (although imperfectly like any other man) in glorifying the Lord and teaching others to do so. [2 Corinthians 10:17-18 & Psalm 40 9-10]
Like David, Moses, and Abraham, God is not looking for the one who firsts speaks the loudest for Him (whether with his words or his works) but for the one who firsts listens the most for Him; one with no hidden motives who grows into a firm position of ultimately willing, if it be the will of God, to remain unknown and desiring only God to be magnified.
That one need not concern himself with the vapor of striving for popularity. His destiny is in the virtue of submitting in patience to God. He can leave the longing of identity and the hunger for the spotlight of renown in God's hands. They are in perfect keeping and unfathomable wisdom to decide it. Our Creator has already promised that He will not keep the humble perpetually low but will lift them up in due time [1 Peter 5:6] and that, on His own terms [James 4:2-3 & Psalm 77:18-25]. So I will, by the strength of God being made perfect in my struggling weakness, lay my self and my mouth in the dust for there may yet be hope. [Lamentations 3:27-29]
Instead of conducting my time on earth in constant covetousness (against those who are renown) and self-glory, I can reflect on and treasure the testimonies, faithfulness and abundant mercies of God and therefore, be constantly content with such things that I have; which include a priceless fellowship with a Heavenly Father who for whatever reason I may call upon Him. [Hebrews 13:5-6 & Deuteronomy 4:7] Instead of running with uncertainty because of my fear and beating the air by my pride, I can live in refuge and armed with strength for the battle. For as my mind is stayed on God and not on me (because I trust in Him) He will keep and guard me in perfect peace. [Isaiah 26:3-4 & Philippians 4:6-7] Self renown/glory is distraction at worst and a vapor at best. The best and most famous historical figures are still but memories.
Like stars that pale with the rising sun, so also our glory-renown will pale in comparison with the One who was and is already the Greatest and chose to become as nothing so that the undeserving might be saved. We become insignificant if we do not accept this wonderful truth but try to identify ourselves apart from His glory. Like lone sticks, we are best used if we let ourselves be cast and consumed in the blaze of His glory. Like gold and silver refined, we will pass through His glory and become that perfect and glorious treasure of His, His Bride, that we were always (from the beginning) meant to be. We need to be busy in living and letting our lives be used for the proclaiming and magnifying of His glory for it alone can truly bless and it alone can save.

"Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let such as love Your salvation say continually, "The Lord be magnified!" " ~Psalm 40:16

I am the Lord, that is My Name. And My glory I will not give to another, nor my praise to carved images." ~Isaiah 42:8

"Many are they who say of me, "There is no help for him in God." (Selah) But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head." ~Psalm 3:2-3

"The voice said, "Cry out!" And he said, "What shall I cry?" "All flesh is grass, And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, Because the breath of the Lord blows upon it; Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."  ~Isaiah 40:6-8

"You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever." ~Psalm 30:11-12

"His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in Him; All nations shall call Him blessed. Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things! And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen." ~Psalm 72:17-19
