For so long, much of the American church has played a chick-flick version of the godly life with Christ...a life filled with happiness and without its questions, doubts or sufferings. It's no wonder then that so many are tempted to, or end up walking away from a relationship with Christ. Just like those who have been caught up in too many "happily ever after, fairy tale romance" films and are unprepared for the natural difficulties that come with marriage, so many of us are unprepared for the internal struggles and the external opposition that comes in submitting and following Christ. This is not a "Garden of Eden relationship" where everything's nf all relationships are perfect. Man must toil to reap. Thank God He has already walked this road-relationship in our flesh so we need have no reason to leave nor regret to stay.
